Touring & applying

How do I see a place?

Book a showing from the listing. You can tour:

  • on your own, with a one-time door code we text you for your time slot, or
  • with one of our leasing agents.

We confirm by text and email right away.

Do I apply before or after touring?

You tour first, then apply online through our secure resident website.

Everyone 18 or older who will live there fills out their own application.

How are applications reviewed?

We check credit, background and income, all securely on the resident website.

The application fee is $60 per person, charged only when we process your application.

Students usually apply with a parent or guardian (a guarantor), who co-signs the lease and signs their own part separately.

Do you require a guarantor?

Most students apply with a parent or guardian (a guarantor) who co-signs the lease.

Your guarantor signs their part online, in a separate "Parent Guarantor" step.

Leasing & move-in

When is my lease complete?

Your lease is complete when:

  • every resident and every guarantor has signed online, and
  • the security deposit is paid in the Resident Center.
How do I pay my security deposit?

Pay it online in the Resident Center. We send you a separate invite to set up your account and pay.

When and how do I pay first month’s rent?

Pay it online in the Resident Center before your lease starts. Then set a time to pick up your keys.

When can I get keys and move in?

You pick up keys on the day your lease starts. You set a pickup time once:

  • your lease is signed
  • your deposit is paid
  • we've received first month's rent
Can I move in early?

It depends on whether the apartment is free and when we finish getting it ready between residents. Ask our leasing team what's possible for your home.

How do I set up utilities and internet?

In most buildings, each apartment has its own meters. You pay for water, electric and internet or TV yourself.

Set these up in your name before you move in. Some homes include certain utilities, so check the listing.

What insurance do I need before move-in?

You need renters insurance before you move in. Buy it through the resident website, or use your own policy if it meets our requirements.

Rent & payments

When is rent due and how do I pay?

Pay rent online in the Resident Center, from checking or savings. Have your bank routing and account numbers ready to set it up.

Can I schedule rent payments?

Yes, and we recommend it. Set up Scheduled Payments on the resident website. You can schedule several future payments at once, so you never miss a due date.
